GUMTREAD™ - We chose recycled rubber as the base material for our innovative soles with the dual goals of flexibility and durability in mind. Recycled rubber offers a tire-like tread that provides traction so you can continue your adventure, whether you're strutting around the yard in slippers or conquering the world in flip-flops.
WE PROTECT FORESTS - For every purchase of Gumbies flip-flops, a mangrove tree is planted in Mozambique, Madagascar, or Kenya. Mangrove trees are particularly beneficial to the environment because they store four times more carbon than other trees.
JUTE FIBER - A layer of jute fiber is added to the mold of our recycled rubber outsoles. This natural material helps the rubber form a flexible bond while increasing strength and durability.
