Protection from alpine weather – inspired by a legend
The Comici Jacket is made from innovative, windproof, bonded AlpineWool® softshell fabric—the wool is on the inside for a comfortable level of extra insulation. It features a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish for an extra layer of protection, plus taped details and reduced seams for a clean, finished look. This jacket is named after Emilio Comici, an artist among alpinists who was arguably one of the greatest climbers of his generation.
AlpineWool® Softshell
Stormwall is our proprietary, breathable softshell fabric with a tough outer surface that sheds snow and moisture, while the inner support layer and internal windproof membrane allow sweat and moisture vapor to escape, keeping you warm and dry. Its four-way stretch allows for complete freedom of movement in technical terrain. AlpineWool® is made from wool sourced from mountain sheep, blended with polyester yarns.
Characteristic features of mountains
The Comici's mountain-focused features include ergonomic sleeves and shoulders for high-altitude movement and a relaxed fit to prevent the hem from riding up while climbing. A one-handed storm hood with rear adjustment and a pre-shaped peak is ergonomically designed to fit over a climbing helmet. It also features two zippered chest pockets, Velcro-adjustable cuffs, and an adjustable stretch hem to keep you warm when you need it.
This is a rock-resistant, waterproof alpine softshell for aspiring mountaineers who want greater mobility.
